Please come down to the Sweet Life Cakery to see our current 6th grade show:
Think Big ART Ribbon Festival!
6th grade students learn techniques to show space/depth on a 2-D surface by showing ribbon going up, under, over and through objects, showing size of objects make them appear farther away when they smaller and one point perspective vanishing point. Our showcase art opening was November 3rd and the work will be on display until Nov. 22nd.
Please visit my school Facebook page for more pictures!
Students learn how to enlarge a picture using the grid technique. Then, they paint with acrylic paint. After it dries, students cover it in India ink and immerse it into water to get an antique feeling. Some students thought it would be clever to include cupcakes into their art since it was going up at the Sweet Life Cakery. This show was May 13, 2016.
