Assignments for Unit 7: The American Revolution

The Two Sides: The student will use text evidence to describe the advantages and disadvantages of the British  Army and the new Continental Army.

Victory or Death: The students will use Cornell style note graphic organizer to use record details from a narrative of the first year, 1776, of the Revolutionary war. They will construct a formal summary from the details.

The Price  of Loyalty: The students will use a Cornell style note graphic organizer to use record details from a narrative of the how the war was fought during 1778-80 on the western frontier and in the "states". Students will identify and write about who payed the "Price of Loyalty" from the narrative details.

Winter at Valley Forge: The students will use a Cornell style note graphic organizer to record details from a narrative of the the Winter at Valley Forge. 

End Game: The students will use a Cornell style note graphic organizer to record details from a narrative of the the last years of the war and how Washington was able to win the war at Yoke Town.

Constitutional issues Topics: The students will decide on a topic to base their essential questions and claims for the CBA on Constitutional Issues. Unit 8, our next unit, will be "The Constitution"

Harvest Of Victory: The students will use Cornell style note graphic organizer to record details from a narrative of the
aftermath of the war and how the new United States established themselves as a sovereign  nation.

******* The  Assessment for the unit will be a writing assignment based on the content of the graphic organizers for each narrative of the War.
