A little bit about me . . .
have taught at Kingston Middle School for over thirteen years with students
in grades 6th through 9th in various subjects including English, Social
Studies, Math, Study Skills, PE, and Native American Education. I have
specialized in History for the past several years and I really enjoy
it. Before working at Kingston, I worked with children from
toddler/preschool age and up. I enjoy working with kids of all ages and I
am committed to helping students succeed.
I earned my Bachelor's
Degree from The Evergreen State College and my Teacher's Certification
in K-8 Education from Western Washington University. I am a member of
the National Council on Social Studies and devote time to remaining up
to date in teaching and subject matter.
husband and I have 6 children as well as five grandchildren and two
daughters-in-law. Reading, cooking, sewing/crafts and spending time
with family (in activities like fishing, camping, traveling,
watching/playing baseball, canoe journeys, and enjoying the outdoors)
are some of our hobbies.
I believe that working with students is a privilege, and I look forward to a great school year!
