Looking for a good book? Here are some suggestions.

Mackin Booktalk provides book talks for each nominee as well as links to book trailers and "read-alikes" (in case the book you want is already checked out or when you finish and you want something similar).

The ALSC provides links to books for all different ages.  Check out the Summer Reading List!

Michael L. Prinz Award for Excellence in Young Adult Literature
Any books called "Young Adult" or "YA" are meant for high school readers, but some can be appropriate for mature middle school students.

Teen Reads Ultimate Reading List
Books suggested by teens for teens.  Updated regularly!  Again, some titles are meant for mature students.

American Indian Youth Literature Awards
The AIYLA titles are broken down by Elementary, Middle and High School appropriateness.

The Center For Talented Youth (CTY) offers links to a wide range of book awards.  Many of these titles are high quality books, appropriate for a range of ages and reading levels.
Author Jon Scieszka collaborates to create this unique site to recommend books that appeal to GUYS. Take a look - many of these titles appeal to readers of all kinds.

We Need Diverse Books
This fun flowchart directs students to books that highlight characters and topics that include a range of backgrounds and abilities.

Seattle Public Library offers this unique and fun way to get personalized reading recommendations.  Come armed with the names of a few books you've already enjoyed AND an email address.  You'll get a response of what to read next.  Be patient - it's not an instantaneous reply.

Kitsap Regional Library offers this fast way to get reading recommendations based on your age, mood, favorite genres, and read-a-likes in both fiction and nonfiction.
