Middle School Robotics

The Robotics Program at Kingston Middle School offers a unique and hands-on approach to learning engineering, computer science, math, and science. Through this integrated program, students develop creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration—skills essential for success in future technology-focused careers.

Students engage in investigations, tackle technological challenges, and design machines capable of automated actions. Working with innovative materials, they solve problems, overcome challenges, and collaborate with peers. Over three years, this program lays a strong foundation for students to continue their robotics pathway at Kingston High School and pursue advanced opportunities in STEM fields.

Program Details:

• Who Can Apply: All incoming 6th graders
• Location: Kingston Middle School
• Structure: A three-period, self-contained block integrating science, math, and robotics. The remaining half of the day is spent in core classes at Kingston Middle School.
• How to Apply: Applications open each February. Students are selected through a lottery, with applications divided by home school and grade level to ensure equitable representation across the district.

This program inspires curiosity, resilience, and teamwork, preparing students for a future shaped by innovation and technology.
