North Kitsap Online Academy (NKOA) / PAL

North Kitsap Online Academy (NKOA) offers a flexible, fully online learning experience for students in grades 6–12. As part of the North Kitsap School District, NKOA partners with Subject.com to provide high-quality digital curriculum, along with personalized academic support, skill-building interventions, and round-the-clock academic assistance.
At NKOA, students learn at their own pace, guided by dedicated NKSD Mentor Teachers who monitor progress, offer encouragement, and support both students and families through regular communication. We emphasize self-motivation, organization, and independent learning to ensure every student has the tools and guidance to succeed.
NKOA is a Alternative Learning Experience option, meaning it is subject to state and federal rules and regulations that govern public education. This also means that NKOA students are still allowed access to sports, clubs, ASB activities, and will get to walk at graduation with their peers at their home high school.
Our mission is to provide an individualized and flexible education that meets the unique needs of each student and family.
Our vision is that every student deserves a learning environment that fits their style and lifestyle—anytime, anywhere.
